Machynlleth Sound Machine

The chance discovery that Belleville, the birthplace of Detroit techno, is twinned with the rural Welsh market town of Machynlleth, led to the creation of MACHYNLLETH SOUND MACHINE.

Channelling the rebelious spirit of these two historic places through the medium of electronic music, the result is techno music soaked in the collective haze of hundreds of years of Welsh history and southwesterly storms – a Cambrofuturistic take on a staple of Afrofuturism.

Darganfyddiad ar hap a damwain fod Belleville, man geni tecno Detroit, yn efeilldref â Machynlleth, a arweiniodd at greu MACHYNLLETH SOUND MACHINE.

Yn sianelu ysbryd gwrthryfelgar y ddau man tra wahanol yma trwy gyfrwng cerddoriaeth electroneg, yr allbwn yw cerddoriaeth tecno wedi ei drochi yn nharth cannoedd o flynyddoedd o hanes Cymru a stormydd de-orllewinol – fersiwn Cambroddyfodolaidd o un o hoelion wyth Affroddyfodoliaeth.
